SPF, DKIM and DMARC — the three pillars
Getting into the inbox depends on three DNS records working together. SPF lists which servers may send mail for your domain. DKIM cryptographically signs each message so receivers can verify it wasn't forged or altered. DMARC ties the two together and tells receivers what to do — and where to send reports — when a message fails. A weakness in any one of them makes your domain easier to spoof and your legitimate mail more likely to land in spam.
